This acrylic original is painted on hardboard, originals can be painted on either hardboard or canvas and framed. Giclee prints are signed and numbered limited editions, which are then mounted on hardboard unframed (but can also be purchased framed for an additional cost) which makes them very similar in appearance to the original. These prints are available in a variety of sizes relevant to the size of the original... the larger the original the larger the print - please contact me for more information or to make a purchase.

The story behind the painting:

The Bancroft Hotel has long been a landmark in the town of Bancroft and a common evening scene there... would be to see the hotel's owner, Speedy, rushing out of his front door and angrily shouting at the local young kids who had, just moments before... been kicking at the door. It became somewhat of a debatable point as to whether Speedy was truly angry at the young people or was simply playing his part in their game.
