This acrylic original is painted on canvas. Originals can be painted on either hardboard or canvas and framed. Giclee prints are signed and numbered limited editions, which are then mounted on hardboard unframed (but can also be purchased framed for an additional cost) which makes them very similar in appearance to the original. These prints are available in a variety of sizes relevant to the size of the original... the larger the original the larger the print - please contact me for more information or to make a purchase.

(The Story Behind the Painting)

After moving to Canada/ Ontario from Chicago, this became my first totally Canadian painting... I came to the decision that now that I had now transported my own physical being to a new location... it was perhaps also time for me to transport the characters from my former painting style (typical of my Dreamscape series) to a now more realistic environment. The stylized characters in this particular painting are somewhat caricaturized impressions our very real and welcoming, farmer neighbour and his wife. While my images still continued to remain generally flat in appearance, this painting was clearly a sign of future changes to come.
