The Story Behind The Drawing:
The specific tree and hill of this drawing were located in the backyard of the home I lived in during my time in Bancroft. The young boy in the tree is the son "Clay" of my dear Bancroft friends, Paul and Lynda Ives. Their son Clay has since grown up to become a fine young man, and is well known in the Bancroft community for winning a Bronze medal in Luge, at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, while competing for the USA Olympic team, as he like myself is a dual Canadian/American citizen. Clay also competed with the Canadian Luge team at the 1994 and 198 Olympics.
