Musical Line Box

THE STORY BEHIND THE SCULPTURE:
With this particular 5 inch square ceramic box, the characteristics that determined that I relate to it as a "musical" line box, was not only due to the rhythmic nature of the design pattern that I had carved into the box, but also the musical sounds created by the clay balls that I had inserted into the box before it was fired. Because the clay balls were simultaneously fired as the clay box itself was fired... when the viewer turns over the box to view it's different facets, the, now hardened ceramic balls inside, will clink and rattle.
